The Convenience Of Vegan Instant Hot Chocolate

While there are lots of ways to get your chocolate fix, our vegan instant hot chocolate (find out more here) is definitely one of the most convenient! It's perfect for when you're in a rush, as you can have our resealable pouches of hot chocolate on hand for whenever you need a chocolate pick-me-up!

While it's certainly possible to make hot chocolate from scratch, the process isn't exactly convenient if you're in a hurry! First you need to make sure you have all the ingredients, then make sure you have the correct quantity of each, heat the milk etc.

All that waiting around can be too much when you're in a hurry or you need an urgent chocolate fix! That's why having instant hot chocolate is so convenient. Our customers have been impressed by how easy our hot chocolate is to make.

All you need to do is dissolve 5 heaped teaspoons of of Vliss hot chocolate mix in a little water and you're good to go! A steaming cup of delicious chocolatey yumminess in an instant!

You don’t need to be vegan to appreciate the convenience and delicious taste of our instant hot chocolate. We also have lots of non-vegan customers, and one customer even told us that it's the best instant hot chocolate (non-vegan ones included!).

So whether it's a comforting treat to enjoy on the sofa in the evening or a quick pick-me-up in the middle of a busy day, our hot chocolate is quick and easy to make and can be enjoyed either at home or on the go.

We have to admit that when we first started recipe trials for our instant hot chocolate we were sceptical, as we had no idea whether we'd be able to come up with something that was as creamy and would taste as good as the non-vegan versions. And the last thing we wanted to do was to come up with an inferior version! But after a lot of recipe trials and tweaks (and numerous taste tests!) we're pretty sure we've nailed it and come up with the delicious Vliss recipe!

Since then we started experimenting with flavour powders and have some delicious new flavours up our sleeves which we'll be launching over the coming months, including Salted Caramel, Mint, Orange and Strawberry. And by popular demand our Festive Spice flavour will be back in time for Christmas!

So the truth is instant hot chocolate is not only pretty convenient but also tastes absolutely delicious too and comes in several scrummy flavours! It's the perfect go-to when you want that vegan-friendly chocolatey goodness without the wait! Check out all our flavours over at www.vliss.co.uk.

Vliss Instant Vegan Hot Chocolate - Introducing Our Exciting New Flavours

There really is nothing better than a deliciously creamy mug of hot chocolate! Warming and comforting, it's the perfect drink for these cold winter days!

Although we love the classic taste of our traditional hot chocolate, we absolutely love jazzing it up and couldn't resist experimenting with some new flavours!

After many mugs of hot chocolate and numerous taste tests, we've come up with some delicious new instant vegan hot chocolate flavours for you to try which we will be launching over the coming months.

All our new recipes are mouthwateringly delicious and totally creamy (people have told us they would never have known they're vegan!) You can find them here www.vliss.co.uk/product-cat/instant-vegan-hot-chocolate/.

Chocolate Orange

The first flavour we created is Chocolate Orange, which combines a classic hot chocolate taste with zesty orange notes! This irresistable flavour combination is soooo tasty and the perfect for curling up on the sofa on a cold evening

Mint Chocolate

Our Mint Chocolate flavour combines our classic hot chocolate with a hint of refreshing mint. (think a drink version of After Eights!) The combination of it's velvety and creamy texture with subtle mint flavour is completely irresistable!

Salted Caramel

We're so excited about this flavour!  Our heartwarming Salted Caramel hot chocolate combines an indulgent caramel flavour balanced perfectly with a hint of sea salt, and really is the ultimate flavour experience for any chocolate lovers out there!

And for an even more indulgent treat it can be topped with a swirl of vegan whipped cream and caramel sauce!

Strawberries & Cream

With the summer just around the corner it's the perfect time to stock up on our yummy Strawberries & Cream flavour! (Let's face it we'll still be in for some chilly nights and hot chocolate will still be needed from time to time!)

The combination of our classic hot chocolate with a hint of succulent strawberries takes it up to a whole new level of yumminess, and what's more it pairs perfectly with our vegan mini marshmallows!

Summer Tip

Can't decide? Don't worry, later this year you'll be able to buy all five delicious flavours (all of the above plus our Original flavour) in a taster set!

Too hot for hot chocolate? On warmer days why not try using our hot chocolate mix to make a refreshing milkshake? Simply add a small amount of hot water to dissolve the powder, and then top up with cold water and add ice!

My personal favourite on a hot day the chocolate mint flavour as it's sooo refreshing, but it would work with any of the flavours! At some point we'll do a blog post about this and add a few photos of our creations!

Vegan Diet Tips: 101 Tips for Beginners on the Vegan Diet - Parade

So you've been thinking about trying a vegan diet. Or maybe you already follow a completely plant-based diet and want to make sure that you are getting enough variety into your diet. Look no further! We surveyed a team of experts, sampled a few goodies, and read through some studies to bring you these tips to make being vegan easy and healthy—and yes, it includes ice cream and chocolate, plus plenty of healthy-but-delicious recipe inspirations.

101 Healthy Vegan Diet Tips

1. Learn the basics. For those who are ready to dive into plant-based living a little deeper, there are a ton of resources and products to get you on your way. "The website forksoverknives.org provides hundreds of easy to prepare, delicious and healthy, plant-based recipes that anyone can master," says Dr. Patricia Thomson, Food as Medicine Summit & EXPO and TS Wellness founder. "Another website, www.pcrm.org, not only provides recipes but a wealth of factual resources to help the beginner understand the basic premise of adopting a plant-based lifestyle."

2. Binge-watch vegan documentaries on Netflix. Just a few of the streaming channels offerings: Forks Over Knives, Game Changers, What the Health, Cowspiracy and Vegucated.

3. Tap into the documentaries' resources. Not only do plant-based documentaries have tips on switching to being vegan lifestyles but many also offer recipe and meal ideas on their websites and social media pages. The Game Changers website has a whole "Food" tab on with information about nutrition and recipes. Forks Over Knives has an app filled with vegan-friendly recipes. And What the Health offers virtual meal planning services.

4. Start small and build from there. Making the switch cold turkey can be overwhelming so feel free to ease in. "Start by adding one vegan meal to your menu each day. Once you have that down, add in another meal until you're eating 100% vegan meals," says Stephanie Dreyer, a plant-based meal-planning expert.

5. Meal prep. "Meal planning is important to help you stay on track. It also helps for busy days when you won't have time to spend in the kitchen," explains Lisa Cheplak, the Chef Program Manager and Nutrition Chef for Green Our Planet, a Las Vegas-based non-profit conservation organization and creator of the nation's largest school garden program.

6. Make a big pot of something. Cook ahead for the week by making a big batch of beans, quinoa, rice or lentils.

7. Arm yourself with vegan breakfast ideas. Experiment with smoothies by adding greens like kale and spinach, as well as your favorite fruit and chia seeds for protein. "Try a bowl of quinoa/oatmeal topped with nuts, fruit and almond milk," says Cheplak.

8. A few vegan lunch go-tos could be a leafy green salad with a rainbow of color from carrots, bell peppers, celery, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and a simple lemon vinaigrette. Or maybe a vegetable wrap made with hummus.

9. Embrace Mason jar salads, Cheplak suggests. The possibilities are endless.

10. Stock up on vegan cookbooks. A few we love: The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone, Super Natural Cooking by Heidi Swanson, Vegan for Everybody by America's Test Kitchen.
